Which Joystick?

Id like to buy a new joystick for use with WINUAE and am not sure which one to buy.
I am currently using a joypad but as you can imagine, pushing up on a Dpad to jump isnt ideal. Also it can be hard to get diagonal with a Dpad.
I used to use a Competition Pro or a Zipstick so do you know if there is anything similar available for the PC?

Any web site links or names of joysticks to look for would be appreciated.

There is a PC Version of the Competition Pro available If you´re lucky you can grab one from Ebay

//update : You may also want to build yourself an interface to use the old Comp Pro from your Amiga, go here to see how : http://fsinfo.cs.uni-sb.de/~stahl/com/index_uk.html (You can also order the Interface there )

Exclamation To ALL Retro Gamers

Whats your preferred contol method for emulated Amiga games?
I only have a joypad and find it practically unusuable. Im using the keyboard at the minute but dont really like it.
Any suggestions for an 'Amiga like' contoller for the PC?

You can do what I did- Buy a joypad (I bought a Sidewinder because it was the easiest to solder), go to an arcade parts company (One that deals in Wico parts), build a box and wire yourself a controller.

Works great for WinUAE/ Fellow, MAME, CCS64, Raine, and every other emu platform known to man. I have always hated those thumb controller pads, too.

Sounds a bit complicated to me. Surely a PC stick can be bought thats similar to an AMIGA stick.

Thanks anyway

If there´s no response after a week or two you may try to push your own posting back on top of the list by editing you original post, just don´t do double (or triple) postings please
