Happy Roger Dean / Shadow of the Beast art work...

Retro Gamer are running an interview with Mr. Dean in Issue 50 (has dreamcast on the cover)... 5 page article with quite a few screenshots of Beast II if that floats your boat

They also give a link to 'Secret of the Black Oynx' video footage (never released)...

I have one of those shirts, although I have to admit that my Roger Dean obsession comes more from being a Yes fan.

The work in that footage looks very nice for 1990.

"What would Roger Dean come up with using todays 3D artwork tools?"

is right up there with

"What would the A-Team come up with if locked in a Jewson Warehouse?"

So long as I can get a hold of a perfect Beast T-Shirt image, I can get the shirts made up cheap.

When I get into drawing, I would love to emulate/be inspired by Dean's moody works.

Very cool!
The modernish Tom Cruise remake?

I wonder if the art director consulted with Roger Dean or just "used" his design for inspiration? LOL

Edit
Quick google leads to omni magazine from 1985

These are images from Omni Magazine, August 1985. From the accompanying text:
"The Martian invasion of Earth is rendered anew in images ever faithful to H. G. Well's Victorian vision of the WOTW. British designers Roger Dean and Martyn Dean collaborated with artists Tim White and Richard Clifton-Dey to produce these illustrations for a new edition of War of the Worlds.
At least one of these images has previously been reported as having been commissioned for, but unused by, the Jeff Wayne musical.
All images courtesy of Les Treece-Sinclair.
