I dont slap it on e-bay for $300 and call it "the rare Commodore Atari version".
lol, that is insane. $300 for a game.

You can ask seller for disk(s) scan(s), before buy. Maybe it can be dual format disk too.

I don't think so. This very old DOS game is probably on 5.25" disks.

The front box scan clearly shows that it's for the "IBM Tandy 1000" and not the Amiga. The only reason that the word "Amiga" is in the auction is that the seller has read the "NOTE: Screens shown were photographed on the Amiga system" text.

in the same way that every other 16bit release features screen shots from a different system...

look at Outrun Amiga for example http://hol.abime.net/2329/boxscan

Only in this case the box screenshots are from an unreleased Amiga version. Whether it was used for development or existed in some form on the Amiga is still unclear.

the contra box only states the images were on an Amiga system, not that they are from an Amiga version. The difference is subtle but important...

Then you can ask for 3.5 disks.

Info from seller:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

This is possible then game has two versions. When I have access to Amiga originals I see sometimes Amiga original games in box from PC.

Sorry Don, this DOS game is still shrink-wrapped. I don't think that he would open the box. And asking the seller is pretty senseless in this case, as i posted before.

http://forums.ebay.com/db1/thread.js...=1213127787683

There is "maybe" an Amiga preview in a programmers desk, nothing more.

Well the pictures make the Amiga conversion look like it was pretty good. A pity it wasn't released

Well, now you've caught me right here!

I thought this thread topic is about being contra ( = against) Amiga!

Yes, for Atari ST. Closest to Amiga Contra.
