L is for Light Table. Deluxe Paint 4 introduced the Light Table function, where artists could see previous and subsequent frames to assist them in drawing cell animations.

X is for Xerox, innovators of color ink jet printer models that had Amiga drivers available. Xerox also gets credit for developing the first graphic user interface (GUI.) copied by developers of operating systems for personal computers, including the Amiga.

Indeed you are correct.

I better rephrase then... other companies' mechanics saw the actual implementation of a mouse at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center and copied it.
