They guy who is actually doing the work, Thomas Hirsch, will work at the speed he wants to and when it's done it's done (or not).
I don't think he's that bothered. That said the addon to the C-One (which was his dev platform) might make things a little easier for him.

Gunnar von Boehn, the guy who does the (unofficial?) NatAmi website is a bit over zealous to say the least. As are most of the people who are "Team Members" on his forum

Well, setting a release date and then working at the speed you like will make goodwill toward the product diminish.

And having a clear list of goals is usually good, but make it clear that it is a goal. Same thing here. People will compare the wishlist on the website with those actually finished for the NatAmi. Why not have a "features done"-list, like the release notes software developers add? Will result in less flaming and be more inspiring, I think!

AFAIK the true Natami developer, Thomas Hirsch, has never set a date. Just these hang-on wannabe leaches like Gunnar von Boehn.

Huh, the date is actually on the Natami site. If he didnt set a date, then he needs to communicate more with the people who run the site.

It won't happen. I would like to see some talented individual get one of those Amiga clones that fit into a 5.25" bay on your PC or equivilent. Then somehow clone it and sell it. Obviously there are multiple reasons why this would never happen but I think that is the kind of product I would be interest in.

iirc it had a 030 or an 040, IDE header and a floppy drive. The unit was a bout the size of a small CDROM. I'm sure you all know what I am talking about.

Red sold one in one of his auctions a while back.

You're thinking about the Access which was a remake of an A1200 motherboard.

AFAIA:
The Access got to the full working prototype stage - samples made, maybe some actually sold, but certainly not in the volumes that would allow any hope of acquiring one today - sadly.

3-4 years ago there were several boards sold by Soft3. Analogic Computer still has boards and parts but not soldered.

Looks shite to me

28MHz 030 with 8Mbytes RAM. No hope of a CPU/RAM upgrade as there was no CPU slot, no trapdoor slot.

The only thing it had going for it was the form factor.
