Terminator II Arcade... what spec?

Hi

I could never get this to run on my A1200s.

I downloaded the ADFs to FINALLY check it out and can't seem to get it working under any of the specs in winuae? 500 or 1200 does not like it. I have the KS1.3 KS3.0 and a 2.04 ROM file (of course taken from amiga and certainly not pirated!)

Works fine with kickstart 1.3, no special settings required.

Hmm must mean my adf files are screwy. I can get to the T2 Arcade screen, but graphics are distorted and doesn't go any further. Time to find new copies I guess...

Graphics at first are always screwy on that bit, it's a side effect of the crack.
Try being a bit more patient, it should carry on loading.

if its converted by Probe, I doubt their external memory routine works, none of their previous games worked properly.

(Anal) Probe always did shoddy conversions IMO. Were they responsible for TMNT Arcade Game by any chance?

Yes but Konami were very reluctant to help them, they had to convert gfx by
hand instead of getting GFX in IFF files....

Look Mortal kombat, they got the source code, and they converted it line by line. MK is an excellent combat game on our machine.

Yep, its a probulator. I thought they were a legit software company? Are they a crack team?

Found something interesting with uae. A500 quickstart 1mb does not work at all. A500 512k works fine. Probably more an issue by probe rather than Toni's (rather great) work.

Never been a fan of Mortal Wombat.

Were you using 1mb chip? Game may have a problem with that, 512k chip/512k slow should be fine.

As for MK being an excellent game on the Amiga, its probably the worst version of the game. The Mega Drive version is far better.

Thats a bit harsh, MK on the Amiga is generally considered one of the most complete versions.

All the moves, all the hidden bits, all the gore.

That may be true but the AI is almost non existant, I find it almost impossible to lose a fight. The MD/SNES versions play far better and offer much more of a challenge.
