Smile 500 million Firefox downloads

Quote:
Firefox just reached 500,000,000 downloads. This is an absolutely phenomenal milestone for Firefox. It is sort of hard to imagine what that number means. For some perspective, thatís roughly the audience size of 10,000 Rome Colosseums combined. It would be the weight, in kilograms, of 8,500 Boeing 747 airplanes. In dollars, for $500 million you and 15 of your friends can fly to the International Space Station.

That is so cooool....

Hmm, I would like to have this verified. Do they really have space for 16 tourists just like that? I expect the price would go up if they had to expand first.

Yeah, I'm sure damn near everybody has downloaded it more than once. Cutting their pretty 500 million at least in half. Hahahahaha. Ahem. Yeah.

But how did they count that number? I've been using it for years, but I never downloaded it from their site.

I use it, but they need to pull their fingers out.

MS are slowly copying every advantage Firefox has, when I installed Vista I didn't put firefox back on for over a month. If MS hadn't been such idiots and allowed me to open links in my link bar in a new tab I don't think I would've bothered.

although a googd browser, firefox is a memory eater. It's amazing how having loaded a couple of web pages, the memory used by the system goes up to 90 mb of ram. Wtf devs are doing? Although a good browser it's bloated and i prefer opera, but firefox is more page friendly than opera(compatibility speaking)

The power of Firefox is the add-ons. Until Opera and IE catch up I won't bother with them. (I do use IE Tab in FF though, for stubborn pages.). Safari for Windows is the worst piece of shit that I've used since Netscape Navigator.

I used to use ff for everything but i dont really bother anymore. All i wanted from ie was tabs and that suits me. Whats the point of another program that fills your HD up if you can't find a real use for it? (please fealfree to explain the advantages and all that)

Extensions! But only if you use them of course.

There are two extensions I can't live without anymore and they are :

Ad-block Plus (Which no other browser does without jumping through hoops)
Foxmarks (Which no other browser does, as far as I can see)

I been following IE or Vista revisions, but IE used to have some major security flaws where if someone gains control over IE, they can have access to your OS.
