How many other classic Amiga shooters have "bonus" levels? And how do you access them?

Can't say how many, but the so-called bonus stage in Project-X at the end of level 1 baddie is bogus.

It's probably a subject that needs its own thread, really.

@Retroplay: which version of the game did you use for your longplay? Did you use any trainers? Did you get into the Speed Of Light stage alright?

I used your v2.02 slave with SPS release 0764 without any trainers enabled.
Entered Speed of Light stage just fine.

Can you (any anyone!) try re-entering Speed Of Light as above, but using 2.01 slave that's in the Zone ?

Apidya WHDLoad 2.03 BETA 1 is in the Zone.

This fixes the bug in the game where you can't enter the "Underground 2" (Stage 2-2) or "Speed Of Light" (Stage 4-1) bonus rounds when you are in "flashing invulnerable mode". The invulnerability trainer has also been adapted to allow entry into these subgames when it is active.

Note that, in any case, "Speed Of Light" is disabled for unregistered users

Gawd bless ya, Girv. You are a gentlemen and a scholar. Will you be updating the files on your website so it is downloadable as a complete game like you did for version 2.02?

Possibly, but only once 2.03 is final. For now you can grab the beta from the Zone and just copy it over the existing 2.02 "Apidya.slave" in your install directory. That'll work just fine.

FWIW, I'm considering dropping the pre-installed archives altogether as it makes it illegal for sites in some countries to link to my site (I'm looking at you, Germany). Not sure what to do about that one.

What? It's not more or less illegal than for the UK. Who told you that? There are still some paranoid guys out there, you should ignore them.

@Retro-Nerd: under German law it's illegal for a website hosted in Germany to link to a site that contains copyright infringing content. Ask amiga-news.de, they told me, but I'd heard it before as well.

It's probably illegal for the most european countries, but it's tolerated for ages. Nobody cares about these 15-20 years old games, which aren't available anymore. Unless some greedy guys come out of their holes and "try" sue somebody. I doubt this could happen in this case.

Yeah I know its tolerated all over, especially for software for legally obsolete systems. Anyway, I just said I was considering it
