Exile on Winuae(AGAIN!)

Hi a shy newbie here *blush*
I just wondered if it was possible to play exile or exile AGA on winuae? I managed to get the original exile running using a standard A500 config but I have problems after the second copy protect after a few minutes play I encounter invisible scenery and items or my space dude fall into walls its depressing as I came close to completing it on my trusty A500+.
The AGA version was a welcome blast of nostalgia but after a few minutes play the keyboard seems to lock-up and my charcter throws any grenades he comes into contact with or wonders off almost as if under mushroom intoxication it must have been a particularly potent batch as he never recovers

*sigh*.
Any help would be appreciated

This is superb news!!!, I got close to completing it on my A500 as well... and I had the same prob... after it loads from the disk, the scenery is all messed up, you run into invisable cave walls etc..

I`m off to try it now, hope it works for me

I was using the AGA version if you have any probs I can provide you with the config setup I used *hopefully* i kept waitin for the keys to lockup/stick but nothing so far

If you find the problem is still there, or you want to play the non-AGA version, it is possible with a 'compilation' disk I have (it contains Exile, SpyVsSpy, and a few other games).

It also has a load of optional cheat keys which are fun, though they make the game a bit too easy (invincibilty, being able to pick up and store any object - even doors, the ability to fly through the scenery, etc...)

I got it from 'the zone' a while ago. If you want me to upload it, leave a message in the 'Games req' board.

Capt Paranoia Comp #1 - Exile+, Scrabble, Mousetrap, Spy Vs Spy 2, Spy Vs Spy 3..

Done by my good friend.. btw. Mousetrap was the first trainer I ever did!!

Thanx I'll give that a try . No probs so far with the AGA version

I think the orig. amiga version was better though *meep* just got the RCD and a couple of passes *bliss* I think I still have this game on my Acorn Electron knocking around somewhere a real retro feel there.

That's the one BigByte.

I also prefer the original A500 version. I just find the AGA version's graphics too big. But I'll play it anyway

@putridflesh you had trouble with save states with AGA Exile?? I tried it this afternoon, and when I load save state, the screen goes barmy!! the screen offsets itself all over the palace!
and it corrupts the screen!
Any ideas anyone???
