There's some controversy between the sentences here methinks

AmiKit is a good guy, and he supports classic Amiga. So what if the game is over priced? Smeone else might buy it. Probably true that the price is off the wall, tho.
Amikit, why not put the piece of crap on sale?

Yup, AmiKit is awesome. On another note are the sources to ClickBoom's Amiga games available as open source or for sale? What a bummer if the programmers never got paid for their work.

@Fred

I didn't pay for Vista either.

I thought Capital Punishment was an absolute gem of a beat-em up!. I loved it and so did all my friends, but if i had of known back then that the programmers were not paid for the game, then i would NEVER have bought Genetic Species & T-Zero of them back then, because chances are, they probably never paid the guys who made those games either!?.

All this time too i had a lot of respect for Click Boom, but now all i say is you dirty greedy grubby pieces of shit for not paying the authors of CP.

They might say "Oh but legally we didn't need to pay them", but what ever happened to just doing the RIGHT thing!, and whatever happened to just being HUMAN !.

Anyone want to get and line and Headbutt ClickBoom ?

Same deal with Turbo Trax by Arcane, the team responsible for that didn't get paid either, they were quite happy Fairlight released it.

Sadly, the amiga has a history of people taking advantage of other people for profit. The guys who made abandoned places, CP, etc. Hell, even the commodore engineers were severely underpaid. Amiga Inc. H+P. The reason why they even had a chance to make a buck is because of the community.

AmigaKit is one of the few dealers left and the only one I know of that caters to Canadians. So I will support them any chance I can.

There is no denying AmigaKit are truly excellent but I don't like this whole "well they're an Amiga dealer so we must support them" business. It is no excuse for selling a game that's more than 11 years old for 30, or for that matter anything else that has a steep price tag (haven't checked lately though). If I feel something is a rip-off (like with CP) then I won't buy it and if it threatens to put them out of business, tough.

But presumably the reason prices like this are high is that people just say "well I'm supporting an Amiga dealer" and buy them anyway. It just seems to be total madness to me.
