The way I see it, the Amiga (and the ST) were producing better games when they were released and that's what the video shows. They were more advanced and better gaming machines than the PC pre 1989.

Everyone knows what the PC went on to become, I don't think that needs stating. Many may not be aware of the gaming situation back in 1989 and earlier.

The video is just showing that the PC wasn't the fastest out of the blocks. Nothing wrong with that - the games were compared based on their release dates.

I'm wearing a crash helmet by the way Fed, just in case you go after my skull.

Where is the fairness in comparing PC games from 90s and onward to games made for a computer released in 1987?

The most fair way to do this would be to feature ONLY games released near the time of the release of the Amiga. Obviously, the further away you move from there, the more unfair it becomes.

Besides, it's just for fun, you should not take it seriously I love a lot of DOS games, in fact overall I play DOS games just as much as Amiga games.

Fred, that one hurt, really hurt.

The PC version does have really annoying music and limited colours, so you're half right!

Haven't played Bloodwych, but I did played the sequel Hexx and it's quite good.
If you play on Amiga or PC, the sequel was VGA so they're pretty much the same.

you dont like completely inappropriate beepy music which has sections which seem to rip-off Leia's Theme in Empire Strikes Back? Or purple skin instead of pink?

i've been vocal enough before about my personal opinion of most PC games, so i dont think i need bother here!

Exactly, and German Shepard is the German version of Mac OSX 10.5.
Thanks for the save, ELowar.
SO I will burn his skull to carbon, and then uh, run it through a Carbon version of a Mac OSX Shepard Crematoria analyzer half-pint-life Mega Drive emulator, and DDNI will become Altered Beast.

Wise fwom your gwave....

Don't insult me, I am a total idiot and reject your claims of literate behavior on my part.

PS "aren't" not "arent".

Can you tell us where this video is?

I'd like to see a spectrum Vs C64 Vs Amstrad CPC vs Atari800 Vs Amiga500 Vs Atari ST vs PC video. No matter which version looks the best people can always have a laugh at the spectrum version and the spectrum owners are used to putting their heads in the sand and claiming their version to be the best regardless of reality anyway

They'd have to be games from the late 80s to early 90s to cross all platforms.

The downside to converting C64 and Amiga games to this video format is that you loose the smooth hardware scrolling - which is the first thing I notice when ever I play a scrolling game on other platforms. Smooth scrolling is one thing I took for granted back in those days.

I had a few good laughs from that video. I remember dragging my A500 to a friend's house. I think he had a 486 33MHz machine. The Amiga Barbarian II - Dungeons of Drax blew it out of the water.

nice video

... Its nice to see the amiga win hands down, but I think its unfair just to show the games that were obviously better on the amiga...

Why not make another video that flips sides a little bit? ... I mean stuff like Dune 2, Worms, and some others where we can see where its obvious that hardware upgrades are apparent (on the PC obviously) - maybe have it in chronological order until when theres no ports left?
