I think so, too.

I pleased him to help with the installation.

For those that were able to grab it, did you get it working yet? It is no hoax.

If I did not mention it before this works best with a purchased copy of Amiga OS 4.

I'd love to be able to play with this. Shame I was sleeping at the time it was available.

Someone said it would only work on certain Mac Minis. It might be useful to know which Mac Minis it's likely to work on, and h ow to tell if you have one of those.

What happened to "don't pirate stuff that's still being sold"? That used to be the EAB policy back in the good old days. Apparently, pirating commercial stuff that's still actively developed is considered acceptable now...

I know what's up next. A bunch of guys without the slightest clue about the current situation are now going to tell me that "AInc and Hyperion suck anyway", and that that "they won't let us run it on a Mac, even if we'd pay for it". Yeah, sure - so the policy is now "don't pirate stuff that's still being sold and made by guys we don't regard as assholes and distributed in a way that we appreciate"? Nice.

Severin, who actually has a clue what he's talking about (unlike some other guys here who look at a listing of kickstart modules and come to the conclusion that "it's probably safe to distribute"), told you that this is for real. At that point (public) discussion of this topic should stopped.

Now, that's a novel idea - or maybe not. What do you think was the reason to pay a developer to create the port you guys are trying to pirate?

Who's pirating here? This "MacMini-patch" requires the original OS4 cd anyway (as i have understood) and is unusable without that.

So you're trying to sell upgrade to make OS4.0 usable??

And to answer your question, no EAB is not about piracy, and I'm sure mods and admins will not allow files to be uploaded here.

guys, does anybody think it can be hyperion themselves who wants to leak something like this, discreetly (to avoid lawsuits), to boost the OS4 sales ? here's some food for thought ...

Without a doubt It's excellent marketing and a way to boost sales of OS 4.0 (how many copies have been sold, 200? 300? 50?). When I have some sort of confirmation that it works, you bet I'm buying a copy (and a mac mini).

Correct, I've just removed a post above that links to an upload of the .ISO...

Please people, do not upload this .ISO to The Zone! or post links to where it can be obtained on EAB.
