I think convincing every single tenant to have colored lights installed, flooding light into their room at random intervals for two evenings is an even greater feat than coding/setting up .. hehe

I was there to see it, great stuff. (drove there from Helsinki just for that :-)

The dorm is under renovation, that whole section was without tenants. :-)

Thanks for the mikantalo lights link.
Take that MIT!

Thanks ohforf for the link to the CCC "hack". No surprise here that the CCC already ruled this idea years ago

btw:
I just found out about the huge online content offered by the Chaos Computer Club, including "Chaosradio" and "Chaosradio International", a regular German and an irregular English podcast that they make. It is about all things hacking and technology. Worth checking out.

Also great are the program websites of their conferences, with full abstracts/talks/papers all downloadable. And then there's the "Datenschleuder" the hacking zine which is _still_ going after twenty years or so... amazing.
