What is a "Low Density" Active terminator?

Guys is this low density ACTIVE terminator suitable for terminating a BPPC SCSI chain?

I am confused by the low density tag....

I've never heard the term Low Density applied to a SCSI connector before, probably because it's not very meaningful, the correct name for that connector type is 50-pin IDC. It should be suitable for your controller but I have to wonder why you can't just use internal termination.

Well, this page:

calls the 50 pin IDC ribbon cable SCSI connector as "regular density".

And there are several types of SCSI connectors that are both commonly and 'officially' called "high density", so the term used by the eBay seller makes a bit of sense (though it is unusual and confusing).

I'm pretty sure they mean a 50-pin IDC terminator pack, this should only be neccessary for the end drive/device if it doesn't already have the small resistor packs on the device itself near the 50-pin connection.

Seems like most SCSI-I/II/II devices came with these resistor packs.

If you are using a multi-connector ribbon cable, then you may need to place one of these terminators at the end connector as well

The host controller should already have a terminator as well.

As far as I know, wide SCSI needs a wide terminator!

Put the narrow device among the connectors of the cable and terminate the cable with a wide one in the end of the cable.
