Àmiga 1200 price question. Help!

I've been offered this setup:

Amiga 1200 34Mb Ram + 030 50Mhz y MMU, HDD 1Gb + External Floppy 3 1/2. manuals, PSU and mouse

I'd like to know what price should I pay for such a setup, and if I would have many problems with it, because this is an NTSC setup. I have a severe hate for all NTSC Commodore products :P. Any NTSC 1200 user can tell me you had NO problems at all with NO software?

Thanks in advance!

Hard to say Akira, I've seen a few A1200's on ebay and they range from a basic to a PPC setup. From about 60 GBP up to about 410 GBP. The plus is it's got a ton of ram, that's always good

Myself I would offer the seller around the $250 - 300 (US) range and haggle from there.

As for NTSC machines, of course we'll say there isn't a problem running games, mainly because most of us would use degrader or some other PAL mode app with our ECS or greater Amiga's Who owns an OCS machine anymore, well perhaps some still do, but in my area it was the big thing to get all the European stuff we could and that meant an ECS machine so we upgraded at least the Agnus.

ebay

They seem to be drying up a little a the moment. I've seen a basic A1200 [just an external disk drive as extra] go for £85 which seems alot to me.

You set up would probably fecth £150-£200

Well, thios time the devaluation of our local currency will play on my side. I made an offer this guy can't refuse, and at the same time it will be a bargain when it comes down to dollars.

fingers crossed

Exclamation Remember......

Don't forget about postage Akira. If you're buying it from another country then the price could possibly double. Find out what the postage cost is first. That way you'll not get any nasty suprises!

It's a friend of mine, that's why my local currency's devaluation will play on my side

I might end up getting it for around 100 dollars.

Happy Great!

My offer went through, so I'm getting the above setup for about 175 dollars.... I think it's a fair price!!

i've got lots of stuff to try now... RetromaN!! You'll be my guide in the quest I am about to begin, a quest into the world of modern Amiga software! :P

Now it's time to use that t-zero demo
