Quickstart 'Compatibility vs CPU' slider
On WinUAE's Quickstart page, if you slide the 'Compatibility vs Required CPU Power' slider all the way to 'Best compatibility', then go to the 'Chipset' page - 'Collision Level' is set to 'Sprites and Sprites vs. Playfield' (ie. the third best option out of four). Shouldn't this be set to 'Full' instead?
In fact wherever I set that slider, the collisions are always set to 'Sprites and Sprites vs. Playfield'. This tends to stop me using the Quickstart page (I load some saved configurations instead), because I remember coming up against some games in the past which didn't work properly with collisions not on 'Full'. (Though I can't remember what games they were now... doh, me.) |

There are only few games that need full collision. Not worth the slow down caused by full collision.
Correction: currently only one game called Rotor is known to need full collision. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 14 October 2007 at 16:46. |
