THB sure it would be a lot easier / cheaper with one of these babies

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-External-T...QQcmdZViewItem

I have that very thing hooked up to my A600 (through composite atm) but its damn impressive... although the composite makes a slightly washed colour, it nothing compaird to regular video or tv composite...

it outputs upto 1280x1024x32bit... all screens are scalled (and or ) de-interlaced *no flicker* to that resolution yo set no matter if you are pumping out super hires interlaced it wil output it to 1280x1024x32, unless you select the unit to output at 1024x768 and then it will just scale down to that...

Its a marvelious unit.. and i am going to get another one!

In the very near future I am going to try the SVideo and VGA imputs (i know the quality of SVideo is almost as comparible as an RGB monitor) but i am curious to know if this box can handel 15khz VGA input... interesting...

anyways theres some food for though for you... AND you get to use it as a TV tunner too as well as xbox or vcr / dvd player it has PIP (picture in picture) so you could watch TV / play PS2 whiles messing with workbench... on a nice tasty 19" LCD ahhh yummy

just my tuppence worth... now GO BUY ONE!

( i mnged to score mine for £34 including postage... if you look arround thats the average they go for...)

Thanks for the suggestion Zetro but the unit doesnt seem to have a VGA input so I would be forced to use composite. Also it doesnt seem to support my local PAL format.

edit: seems to come with a non standard VGA port, looks like it comes with an adapter but the photo of the cable doesnt load.
