Icon Update program - what do you use?

I was looking for a better icon update program than the ones I currently have in the classicwb packs (IconImage and IconInstaller) and overlooked this little beauty:

http://aminet.net/package/util/wb/UpdateNewIcon

It's brilliant as it works with all icons - old, new and OS3.5+, unlike the two mentioned above. It has simple to use options and allows you to cycle through the different icons available in each info file.

The downsides are it seems hard coded to use the topaz font and Workbench hacks to change this cause issues with other software, like skidmarks if I remember rightly. Also it won't save or accept tooltypes for its opening position.

Anyone out there know of any other good options I could try out? I'm pretty set on using this at the moment.

Thanks Frog!

TTmanager is used in the ClassicWB LITE for easy access to properties - nice tool.

TweakWB18 I've never tried, because I don't tend to use OS3.5+. Having a quick look it seems to be a nice alternative to WBCtrl for OS3.5+ and has a few nice conversion tools built in.

IconMaster rings a bell. Had a quick try and it seems really nice with its MUI window. Might just be the perfect solution. Have you used this one at all?

Of course i've use it
in fact after using several icon update tool, i end up with both UpdateNewIcon and IconMaster.
Only problem was that IconMaster doesn't support OS3.5+ icon but as i mostly use OS3.1 it wasn't a major problem.

Perhaps i already tried IconImage or IconInstaller but as i didn't remember, it'd be interesting to have a look to them. Thanks

That's a nice tool laser, but it's OS3.5+ only and doesn't have a cool MUI window.

Frog, Iconmaster does support 3.5+ icons - I've just put it through the test using some of your game packs. Automatically resizes the windows too. Perhaps it doesn't support PNG/true colour? I don't know as I haven't got Powericons installed.

The only problem with Iconmaster is it has a bug on the new/old copy icons options. Unless you have magicmenu installed, it doesn't remove the tick next to these two options when you try to unselect, even though they have been unselected! Strange, but minor, issue. The coder obviously had magicmenu on his system and didn't notice the bug!

if you do not use OS3.5 or OS 3.9 the best tool is iconcopy:
