RAG now STREAM videos in full quality! *read*

BIG, NICE and AWESOME 'thingy' added to RAG (recordedamigagames).

From news at RAG:
Quote:
Adobe released a new beta version of the Flash Player a few days ago. This version has H.264/MPEG-4 AVC support! This means you can now stream the movies in original quality and in fullscreen!

You find this version here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer9.html

Make sure you uninstall any previous version before installing.

Video quality comparison...

Our stream:

Youtube's Quality:

We also downloaded a few video files from Youtube. After they converted them they were twice as big! LOL !.

So using this new feature will save people lots of bandwidth and give perfect quality as we are streaming the original uploaded movies.

Ok I installed the new flashplayer 9 beta
it works fine...even now you can get a real fullscreeen in any video

btw,

I wonder how long youtube will survive...I can't understand where they storage those millions of videos...
also I can't understand where they get the money to maintain that high bandwidth

Youtube is owned by Google = Big pockets!

In the very near future they are going to introduce advertising - you'll have to view an advert before watching the clip. Dunno if it's one advert per session or one advert per clip (most likely the latter)

Not a problem-- If they do that (which they won't), you and me the consumers can vote with our feet and go elsewhere. Youtube dies.

I dont think google will do that either. They might use ads in the side of the site (as the do on the other googlesites), but it will not give any negative effect on the video

Yeah, then you would need some Hotfixes for the videos.
