Frx!warp ?

Hi...

I have a couple of MFM images lying around on my hard drive and can't remember where the hell I got them...

What program do I need to write these back? I've tried MFMWarp but it says something along the lines of "use the correct program for this file".

Any ideas?

AFAIK Ferox (Frx!) only made MFMWarp - so could it be the command is wrong somehow?

Plus of course depending on what's on them you might not be able to write them back anyway.

If you upload them then maybe we can have a looksie...

I'm not too familiar with MFMWarp as I prefer WWarp instead

Ah so it is an mfmwarp image... cheers for clearing that up.

I'll give it another go later, see if I can't fiddle with the parameters.

If I have no luck I'll upload em or something!

YOU ARE A HELPFUL CHAP.

Or convert them to WWarp images:

MFM2WWarp File.mfm File.wwp

The app is in the WWarp archive on the WHDLoad site and install kit.

Yeah I came across the name of that program on my search, never realised it was in the WWarp archive though, thanks for the information.

Cheers, guys.

I've tried writing it back, and converting it but both give a crc checksum error on track 27 when writing back

Out of interest, can you tell from the bootblock (or by trying to boot it) what the disk is?

If you've managed to write it up to track 27 won't it boot just a little bit? Or is it an ADOS disk ?

Well as it's imaging it says "Dos track" for every track.

And I can boot it, get the Thallion logo, then it gurus.

It stops on track 25 1

It was indeed interesting!

I can't even remember where the hell I got this image from, but it's called "SevenGatesOfJambalaAmigaFun.MFM" which is the exact game I need!

I remember reading on here that Jambala uses Atari ST tracks on some parts of the disk - this could be what is freaking the warpers out. Also probably not a coincidence that Jambala doesn't have an IPF file...

Maybe Codetapper the ultra-warrior can help?

Probably better collaring Bored Seal as he wrote the install but I can't get the image files for Titanic Blinky from him so I doubt I can get the files for this

No, he's been lacking motivation of late. I know he's got a finished install for Qix - but hasn't released it.

I disagree, he's not been lacking motivation at all!

Qix is already on the whdload website if you take a look, plus he updated at least 4 of his old slaves very recently to work with WHDLoad 16.6+.

Take it back!

You do know the Titanic Blinky disk images have been available on the WHDLoad website for quite some time now, don't you?
