Judging from the specs and blurry pic of the Hitachi microdrive in that auction, I gather you can use it on the A1200 via a CF to IDE adaptor:

Bippy, didn't we go through this on IRC?-)

The iPod Mini, for example, has a flex cable that has a pin grid soldered to the end of it.

The microdrives you see there are normal CF Type II microdrives physically.

The iPod and also the Muvo seem to have microdrives that have a modified firmware. Most digital cameras will reject them, but most card readers will read them.

Someone asked about it from Hitachi:

Hence, they will work in all cameras that are also CF complaint.
Other OEM drives with different partnumbers are also not CF compliant and meet the requirements of that customer. All are subject to change without notice as well. So if you have an OEM drive that works now, one from that same mfg may not work later on....
So .. it might indeed work with an Amiga, but on the other hand it might not. :-) Thankfully those iPod microdrives aren't that expensive any more.

I have one of the IBM 1GB Micros. I know it's type two CF, but I can check it when I get the 1200 powered up next. Just may not be before the end of that auction.
