New EasyADF available

We are pleased to announce a new version of EasyADF is now available.

EasyADF is a application to quickly create/decompress Amiga Disk Files (ADF). ADFs are commonly used with Amiga Emulators such as Amiga Forever and as a format of storing Amiga disks on mediums such as the Internet.

New Features include:

- EasyADF can transfer ADF archives to external drives and RAD: (Recoverable RAM drive)

- EasyADF can now make ADF archives from external floppy disks and RAD: (Recoverable RAM drive)

- EasyADF can be iconfied to an AppIcon on Workbench. ADF, LHA, LZX*, ZIP* archives can be simply dropped over the Appicon and quickly decompressed.

* = requires UNLZX and UNZIP to be in your C drawer (available for Aminet- not included)

- ADF files can now be compressed to ZIP or GZIP archives

- Various bugfixes and optimisations have been made to the program.

Existing customers can obtain the upgrade for free by contacting us through our support system:

http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/support.php

EasyADF is exclusive to AmigaKit.com and part of the EasyADF CF Transfer Kit:

How painless is this operation, compared to something like Transdisk? I'm fairly new to using Amiga Forever, and to Amiga emulation, and it's been 15 years since I've done any installing, or Workbench/CLI operations, so I'm looking for an automated process for importing my Amiga software into a usable emulation.

Also, is there a download option for purchasing EasyADF? Thanks.

This third video seems to be the relevent one. I'm looking to use my copies of Music-X, MidiQuest, Bars & Pipes, etc. in my Amiga Forever emulation. Everything I've read thus far on creating ADFs has been very involved and very technical, so I've been looking for a one-click option.

I will want to create the ADF, save it to my A600's hard drive, then transfer it to my PC, using Amiga Explorer. I still haven't figured out what to do with the ADF, once I've got it on my PC, but one thing at a time, I guess . . .

Yes, I am interested in a download option - how would we do this? Shall I PayPal the amount to your email address, and you send me the program to my email, as an attachment?

Your help is appreciated!

Edit to add: I should probably contact you through your site or via PM. I don't know what the rules of the forum are, being a newbie, and I don't want to violate the TOS.

If you want to use amiga explorer, you should be able to create ADF's straight from the PC.

Or so I've thought... haven't done it meself, as I've not ad the need, but I've at least copied ADF's back to disk over AE

the way you were asking was correct. sometimes it takes a while, until you'll get an answer - well, sometimes you wont get any.

and this. creating adf images on a PC is only possible with some special tools: http://www.oldskool.org/disk2fdi/ the trailvesion works pretty well, but you need a pc witrh two 3.5 floppy drives, connected on the same floppy port. this tool works very well on non-protected amigados floppies (those you can access on the workbench).
and allways ensure you set he physical copy protection on your original disks.
