Acer 500+ II

Funny name huh? 1988-1989 I think.
Anyone heard of it? I've searched everything, can only find info on the chips. It has a sony 8 mhz processor with an empty socket right next to it, also an empty socket right next to another chip close by I can't find info on. Wondering if this is a duel processor computer or is just optional redundant cpu. Has "hi speed" LED on front of desktop case leads to cpu board - no turbo swich. 5+1/4 inch floppy drive and miniscribe 8425 hard disk. Im thinking if this was a good computer back in the day it would have had the miniscribe 8438 hard disk and the empty sockets would have been full.
I'm pulling the hard drive as second hdd in my a2000 cause it will fit in floppy bay and the sight of two cpu sockets side by side got me wondering.

Not meaning to be picky but..... shouldn't this be in the prb.Hardware forum?

Ah well, that's a mod's problem, not mine or yours
