A4000T Mainboard X-ray

I usually don't advertise my images, but in this case I will make an exception because this has turned out quite nicely. It is a scan of an X-ray I took some time ago, before I sent my A4000T to have its CIA chips socketed. Only recently did I have access to a film scanner that can do 35x43cm films

So anyway, here it is:

I wouldn't do that often to my Amiga, as High energy photons of the X-ray could burn transistors inside the chips.

Not applicable to Airport screening equipment, due to extremely low level and electronic image aquisition, but when x-rays are powerful enough to burn into a flim, I wouldn't trust my amiga on those...

The result almost worth the risk, however..

Nobody uses direct exposure to film anymore. That technique hasn't been used for I-don't-know-how-many-years.
We use intensifying screens, in cassettes. Or digital detectors. I've done both.
No piece of hardware that I have X-rayed has ever been damaged, and I have X-rayed many pieces!
There is a lot of hype about X-rays, and many misconceptions based on assumptions relating to the amount and the type of radiation involved.

eproms that use UV to erase content are immune to X-rays? I'll be really glad to hear. Not teasing; I am truly curious about it. Thanks in advance.

You would have to specify the dose. All those components are X-rayed at customs and all items sent in the Royal Mail are X-rayed. If you send me an eprom I'll X-ray it for you and we will see if it is erased. I really doubt it.
Certainly no transistors get burned when the hardware is X-rayed. If that was the case, I wouldn't have a working Amiga at all.

Unfortunately (or fortunately ) I don't have an A600. I had one for two weeks, and everytime I was in the same room as it, I got a pain similar to an ice-cream headache.
However, an A600 would look cool on X-ray.
