I have played PI-III on the C64 w/ a friend to the end and finished PIII on the Amiga. I might consider looking at PII on the Atari ST when I finish PI. Just came across LSD Docs 21 where it mentions the Atari ST gfx format.

PIV looks okay, although I don't like that dithering effect. Thanks for the screenshots.

@Retro-Nerd
Thank you for the shots... do you know Japanese? I can only play SRW series because a friend (now living in Thailand!!!!) taught me the basics.

@demoniac
I'm not understand well... I understood you want to play Phantasie II on Amiga, taking the Amiga version and replacing the files with the ones in the Atari ST version. Buy are you telling there's a guide in the LSD Docs 21? That's sound interesting ...

No, i can't read/speak Japanese. This took me some time to do the Phantasie IV shots from the Sharp X68000 version.

I assume demoniac meant this txt file:

Sounds difficult and boring... maybe it's better to play it on AtariST emulator ;P

That's the text file.

Yeah, it's tedious. I'm going to first play that and see if I can port the saved games from Phantasie I over. To realistically create an Amiga Phantasie II, I might first try to to see if the Atari ST Phantasie I files can be converted to the Amiga as we have an existing, working Amiga version already. I bet I won't like the Atari ST platform that much and stop my investigation fairly quickly.

You can find Ravensburger games even here in Italy... well, the package is really similar

@demoniac
Well ... I played PI on C64 some times ago, so I think I'll play PII with a totally new party. Maybe PII save will be ported to Amiga PIII ... I will try. Then, I will use my PIII characters in Legend of Faerghail (the game includes an import tool).

Yes, this Phantasie IV box reminds me of some Ravensberger jigsaw sets.

You might be able to port the PII party over to PIII without needing to complete that game. Maybe you can start a new PI party and copy the save file over to PII Atari to see if that works as well. I remember I liked the PIII engine more than PI, so that's another reason I haven't played PI yet.

I have never played Legend of Faerghail. It looks long. I think I'll play the Bard's Tale series before then.

rayman for sure, we miss it but perhaps the amiga 1200 can't stand enough colours.
Too bad that the amiga 1200 can't stand 4096 colours (forget ham, too slow).
