MooVid

Hi All

I wanted to watch Divx/Xvid movies on a Winuae setup. I currently have it running Amigasys3 with OS3.9.

Anyway I decided to buy this MooVid program it was 11 usd which I think is about 5-6 UK pounds. If it plays Divx then to me its worth it. BUT all downloaded stuff not saying what it gives me this error

"Only 8/16/24/32 bit supported"

Which isnt really what I wanted to see. Is there any other options to watch Divx etc, or can MooVid be changed somehow?

Also if someone wanted to PM me to try the registered version themselves they are free to, not that im saying I would give them the registered version

Many Thanks

Yes but its only the trial version (I think). It kept giving me unable to play DIVX nags all the time. Same as the trial download version does.

on the amiga yes, but maybe not uae That said there is a 68k Frogger which may work, ill test now. I use AMP on my PPC equipped miggy

I do find it odd that Action struggles under uae just playing the low res vids on the OS39 cd when there all fine on 040 miggy. will have to play.

EDIT: Frogger plays very nice indeed. just tested some xvids i recently encoded with latest AutoGK. play smooth in uae.

Hmmm not sure if im doing this right. I installed Frogger with the codec pack. The screen stays black unless I move the slider bar then it shows some visuals of the film. Im getting a "Timed out Register" screen come up. Any ideas where I can Reg it. Thanks ever so much for your help

Yeah its a 10 min demo alright, but i assume you reg at the frogger site.
the play button is the one at the end of the time bar. Id have thaught it would have been harder to find file requestor which is the up arrow hmm

Yeah my mistake, when you click on the avi to play and it opens up a video screen I expected it to autoplay. If you goto http://frogger.rules.pl/ which I think is there main site, you click on pay which is bottom left hand side "REGNET" but the page dont work

We cant be the only people who want to play Divx on the Amiga, with Winuae you can have a high powered Amiga that can handle playing films and with the double screen support with Winuae it would be fantastic

well its seems to have been left to rot unfortunatly :| maybe you can contact author about a key, or better yet tempt him into releasing a public key

Might be an idea, the program seems to be alot better then MooVid, even though it seems the screen size is pretty small using frogger. Im sure with the power you can get from Winuae, and your PPC we could get full size.

I will look into it, and anyone else who could try to contact the author would be great

Ok i sent this message

Hi There

I and many other Amiga users would like to be able to play a full DIVX/Xvid movie on our systems. Yours is by far the best I have seen to date there are such programs like MooVid etc but they dont quite compare to your work.

The reason I am sending you an email is because I went to your website but was unable to register your fantastic product. With the download from your site it seems it only allows us to play a ten minute video then you get a screen asking us to register. When clicking on the buy button the page cannot be displayed. I know myself and many others from the ever growing Amiga community would like to be able to register or maybe allow the Full program to be available for freeware.

There is a huge website with many talented Amiga users here http://eab.abime.net, you will be suprised at the amount of talent these guys have. Finding games that werent released all the way upto remaking games to support the AGA chipset. Allowing us a way to use your product to its full potential would be great.

Look forward to hearing from you

All the best

Jim

I know my grammer sucks, but I really hope the guy who made this will reply, it would be fantastic to be able to buy or have this product as freeware.
