There is nothing to set up and nothing to config and no installer program. If you can't click a workbench icon then you are lost and should probably stick to nintendo games. The game is very fun for me and my family. Its a game we keep going back to over and over. Its only trash if you just hate strategy-boardgames or if you don't know how to boot workbench.

Hope the rants are pointed at Shoonay not me Still haven't looked at it, but thanks for the info that it's easy to use. I'm not the biggest fan of strategy-boardgames, but a good turn based strategy is always welcome

Right. So who's the bastard that switched this wonderfull ready-to-play-version with the one I got from Aminet some months ago, that took almost half an hour on my 030/50Mhz of installing and hanged at the end?

So, in other words if I don't want to play this game I'm offending you and you have to do the same thing thinking it will bring me back to loving this game?

1. Total Chaos isn't an RPG, wrong thread.
2. It looks and plays like a boring shareware game. There tons of better fantasy strategy games for the Amiga.

If I have to only pick three, I would say in no order,

1)Dungeon Master.

2)Pool of Radiance (yeah, I know its a port, and I loved the 64 version, but the Ami is the best version)

3)Hard Nova

Pool of Radiance is the first of the SSI AD&D RPGs (abbreviations ftw! ) It's really nice if you like the style of these RPGs
Hard Nova is new to me too, so guess I put it on my list

1. Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny (no contest really, U5 beats everything hands down )

2a. Nethack (can't believe anyone hasn't mentioned it yet... You would have voted for it if you had played it beyond the first few levels... )

2b. Dungeon Master (scary as hll, my mom had to do a lot of laundry in those days...)

2c. Chaos Strikes Back (tough to beat, took some time! )

The first two Zelda games were not really RPG but from Zelda 3, "A Link to the Past" onwards they are what is known as an "Action RPG" which IMO is the easiest type of RPG to get into and the most fun (not a fan of Strategy RPG's or pure RPG's).

I consider Zelda III as a pure Action Adventure.

thanks retro nerd, i should of said non AGA ones as i dont have a 1200. Im going to give ambermoon a go this weekend, though it looks too in depth for my liking. Im more into as alexh puts it, action rpg. Minimal thinking I just remebered dragonstone, which had a zelda feel about it, but i wouldnt class it as RPG.
