When i say " about 32Mb" it is to say that the graphic card may be too old ...

I know my game seems to be "a light 2d game", but i use directX ... so, this not really easy to explain but, even if it is a remake of an old 2D game, this one uses new technologies ... you see ?

My game core is less powerful ( less less less ... ) than the original Lionheart game core ( on Amiga )

I work by my own ... this is not easy to find problems ... or to make the best game core possible ... ( and i'm young ... )

Hey, I'm only 27!

But those from the golden era of Amiga are all going to be at minimum pushing 30. Once we've all died off, there will be no Amiga appreciation! It's a sad thought.

If you think about it, you were only about 4 when the A1200 was released

Hum, SiS 650_651_M650_M652_740. sound to be a integrated card, no ?
Yes.

I think this card may cause problems ... because not enought memory ( i think about 16 - 32 on this card ) and probably quite old ...
Only 3 years old, it should be fine, most other things run without problems. Although I do get a few programs which do tend to hang the system from time to time (parity errors?), it doesn't look like this is the issue here.

Are you checking the return values from all your API calls? If there is indeed not enough memory, you should get a return code indicating failure, it should be feasible to bring up an informative error requester and exit cleanly.

When i say: Not enough memory, it may be wrong, because, even if you have 32MB video card, you have RAM, also, RAM + Video have to make the game work ... ( and so, you have paginated memory ... )
When i say that, this is as a shortcut, because, a graphic card that have about 32Mb of memory may not work with every game ...

It would be better if i had a graphic card like this one ... because working on a GeForce 7900GT is more simple that working on a little graphic card ...

I don't know, perhaps i would be able to fix this.
But i don't have the control on everything ( DirectX can be strenge many time ...

Try to download this directX: http://www.b3dgs.com/en_lionheart_down.php
Can you update your graphic card ?

"Sprite not found at line 15xx"
This will mean that it wasn't able to create it ...

Ok guys,

I'm preparing a big surprise for you !
You think that Lionheart Remake is not enought different as the Original ?
Ok, let's go to a new version: Lionheart Remake : Evolved ( v1.0 )

I'm working on this one.
What's news ?

New Levels ( i think about themes )
Enhanced Levels ( many details, like the moon ... )
More Monsters ( for each levels )
Enhanced player movement ( new animations )
New game core ( probably faster ... i will see )
New Level Editor ( better than the previous release ... and easier )
And probably more ... let the future speak ...

See you for the next release

Now, this is time for beta testing, and i need people that would like to help me.

1. I want to be sure Lionheart Remake Evolved will run on a maximum PC number

2. The best way to make a good game is to ear from different player, what they would like to see, what they think about ...

3. If the gameplay is good enough, for a good player, and a beginner

How to help me ?
Just send a mail here: report(AT)b3dgs(DOT)com
Write on subject: Lionheart Remake Evolved - Beta Test
And write your computer hardware ( CPU, GPU, RAM, Motherboard )

If there are not too many people, you will recieve an answere with the Beta Version of Lionheart Remake Evolved, and some instructions that will help you for your beta testing.

Thanks,
Pierre-Alexandre

Edit: Erf, the level 13: http://b3dgs.free.fr/projects/lionheart/screen23.png
Not completely done, but the main part is finished.

Thanks for the info, will try it right now.

Edit: Running up/down the slopes is indeed smoother. This version looks/feels more mature. Good job, Pierre.
