This large tribute has a base of white chrysanthemums which sits on an edging of pleated yellow ribbon. A welcoming spray of flowers is placed near the gates using striking cream lilies, yellow roses and foliage then finished with a single yellow rose near the cross."

I think they will make a custom wreathe

Damien on Monday can you contact them and see if they can make a green alien wreathe?

If they can then I think we should go with that

I can most certainly ask them

I guess the best picture to send them as a reference is either:

1) From Paul's avatar.
2) From Paul's most excellent website: http://guide.abime.net/

Failing that, how about an Amiga "boing ball"? Should be easy enough one would think?

I like Retro-Nerd's idea specially

Thanks for visting our planet, Green Amiga Alien. Rest in peace, wherever you are.

On my search for inspiration for a wreath I found this. Think Paul would love it

As for sending money to somewhere, let's not worry about that now given that we are all from different countries and it's hard to get anything to a central location on time...

The main thing is that we get something from all of us to Paul's parents on behalf of all EAB

I've already said I don't mind taking care of this no matter what the cost is of the wreath (be it custom or whatever).

Afterwards we can work out how to centralise all donations / contributions and anything left over we can donate to either the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy foundation, something else for Paul / Paul's family or whatever else we all decide is appropriate ;0

To be honest, I'd prefer a simple wreath with something similar to keropi's words e.g. "From all your friends at the EAB".

some nice quotes:

Quote:
Your lost friends are not dead, but gone before, advanced a stage or two upon that road which you must travel in the steps they trod.

Aristophanes
Quote:
People do not die for us immediately, but remain bathed in a sort of aura of life which bears no relation to true immortality but through which they continue to occupy our thoughts in the same way as when they were alive. It is as though they were traveling abroad.

It feels extremely embarassing to say this but I cannot donate anything unless I skip paying the rent this month Perhaps if I wouldn't have bought that CD32 last month I would've had money to spare... Or if I stop eating for a few days. I just want to say that if I could I would... I am working on a CD32 collection though which - if it turns out good enough - will be "released" on proper ftps. It will surely be dedicated to our beloved friend Paul. Hope he would've appreciated that... *ashamed*

I'll go hide in a dark corner now

fisk don't be embarrased. Not everyone is so fortunate, we know you would if you could and that is what counts

Don't be silly fisken uno

Anything in Paul's memory is a good thing. It doesn't have to be monitary, it's the thought that counts and the we keep his memory alive...

In that respect with your compilation you are doing a great thing

I will pledge 20 also.

I believe that CodyJarrett is correct in his statement that a simple wreath is fitting.
Something humble and modest as the man was himself.

Take care buddy.

Mick

I'll donate 20. I'd opt for something simple, and let Paul's family use the rest for any expenses they may have or donate it as they see fit. Since I'm in the US PayPal is really my only option to get money there quickly. So, let us know where to send.

Again I will stress, please don't worry about the time frame for donating / contributing...

It will never happen with so many of us being from different countries and the speed of payment options...

What's important is that you reply to this thread with an estimated donation / contribution of whatever you are comfortable with (no matter how large or small, it's the thought that counts)

I will take care of the rest for now

Later we will work out a centralised donation / contribution area and anything over the spent amount will be given to Paul's parents to decide what is best
