Nemac IV was released in 1996, is Nemac IV - Director's Cut different enough to do be considered a different game. I need help deciding because I have never played either of them. I start the poll until I know weather to include 'Nemac IV - Director's Cut' or not. Any thoughts??

You were satisfied with that lot!?!

When you look at other games out at the same time, you really shouldn't have been satisfied.

I know which I'd rather play:

Age of Empires (PC)
Carmageddon (PC)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS) (Sega Saturn)
Dungeon Keeper (PC)
Fallout (PC)
Final Fantasy VII (PS), (PC)
GoldenEye 007 (N64)
Grand Theft Auto (PC)
HeXen II (PC)
Mario Kart 64 (N64)
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (PS), (PC)
Postal (PC)
Quake II (PC)
Star Fox 64 (N64)
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (PC)
Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter (PC)
The Curse of Monkey Island (PC)
Total Annihilation (PC)
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (N64)
Wing Commander: Prophecy (PC)

Even Parappa The Rapper beats most on your list!

Take a look around, you might enjoy the view

Yeah, Amiga gaming back then were mostly for die-hard amiga fans who desperately needed something to play on their Amigas. There were tons of better games on other more modern platforms - but then again, you can't really compare them. The Amiga wasn't as strong as the other platforms at that time.

On topic, the best Amiga game I played in 1997 was OnEscapee. I bought a CD-ROM for my Amiga just for that.

Well no I don't suppose you can really compare them, but you can't really say the Amiga had so many cool games cool games come out in 1997 either

Very true, but then you couldn't say that if you just compared them to games from the golden years either.

Well you could because there are tonnes of Amiga games which stand out as highlights of their respective genre, regardless of platform.

@ Killergorilla:

I was a die-hard Amiga fan and so I really enjoyed all these games.
And I still do!

After all I think 1997 was a good year for Amiga gaming.

P.S.: Check you pm!

Fair enough!

I was a die hard Amiga fan too, just not die hard enough to stick it out in the "evil years of bugger all releases"

Sorry about the PM, forgot all about that!

What I meant was that the Amiga games of 1997 are nowhere near the quality of games from the golden amiga years.

I consider 1996 to be the last really good Amiga year - especially since SWOS 96/97 was released then.
