So which Mame emu do you guys use mostly?

I always used Mame32, but now I wanted to play Osman (that game looks awsome!) but it does not appear to be in the list :s

Never mind, I downloaded through the wrong website it seems. The version that I thought was the latest was in fact quite old

I used to have a linux / AdvanceMame setup.. good for arcade monitors.

But then I flashed myself an ArcadeVGA clone, and since then I havn't left windows. Mama32FX runs great pixel perfect horizontal and D3d for vertical. But the added bonus of winuae in 640x288 is what gives me that nice warm fuzzy feeling. That and the fact that gameEx is sooo damn slick.

MAME with Emuloader frontend, I used to use MAME32 but I'll never go back to that after using Emuloader.
Highly recommended.

Just downloaded a BULK load of games!

Gotta run through some of the more advanced ones, see if they'll even run properly

Hey killergorilla,

I actually haven't tried MAME on my Xbox as yet, will get around to ity someday

I'm pretty sure that you're able to run Neo-Geo games on it

Yeah you can but it's not worth it. (on Mame)

MameoX128 is the best Mame emu, plays all of the old games absolutely fine.

It plays some of the 'newer' ones such as Gunbird 1/2, Vasara, Aero Fighters/Sonic Wings 1/2/3 absolutely fine too.

To play Neo Geo games I use the AWESOME FBA-XXX Pro. This'll run any CPS1/CPS2/NeoGeo game in the dat fine.

Runs all KOF (inc. 2003), SVC, Metal Slugs, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, Giga Wing... yadda yadda without a single problem (so far).

I'd recommend them both, I play them both a hell of a lot, whereas Mame on my PC doesn't get a look in. (Despite my computer being able to run a hell of a lot more).

The old Final Burn Alpha

Hmmm, I think there are also Xbox versions of Nebula and Neo-RageX (although again I haven't tried any of them out as yet)

I think there are ports of Nebula , Neo-RageX and Kawaks.. but I've not tried any of them.

Do any of them support games not in FBA?

Not sure

TBH I only ever used the Windows versions of these emulators and that was only for Neo-Geo games that won't released in MAME32 yet (because of the 3 year rule).

These days MAME32 has all the Neo-Geo games that the other "hacked" emus had so I haven't touched them in about 1.5 years...

Same here.

MAME32 is a memory hogger. Funny thing is how Emuloader has a lot more options

Perfect with DUKE's optimised compiles

I've just read some articles on Arcade emus for the xbox and it really is just between FBA-XXX and Mameox128 (or Mameox Bender which has lightgun support).

Here is a (not complete) list of games which definitely work in MameoX (this is from 2005 so compatibility is probably better by now).

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.p...post&p=2617957

Still got lots to download, started playing through some last night. Some cracking games out there
