I agree that's it's brilliant game. But there are other, cheaper and as brilliant. The last I bought was Broodwar (I had a second hand English Starcraft and had to import Broodwat from England as the French digitalized voices didn't mix well with the English ones).

Radiant Silvergun

Every game made by Treasure is worth to spend some money (excepted Alien Soldier, a bit too strange for me and the horible McDo Treasure Land (Go José Bové, go and destroy even this game)).

As for $ and €, are you saying that the European Central Bank policy towards foreigners is a failure ?

Just consider an € is between 0.9 and 1 $.

Please somebody tell me: How do you burn this damn game of Dracula X anyway? I downloaded a folder from Demonoid.com that had 2 files: 1 mds an 1 mdf file. I tried burning those as an image with Nero and Alcohol 120%, and i only got a CD that when played on MagicEngine gives me a DISK ERROR message. I have burned a lot of cds like this one and i am about to throw in the towel. Do you know how to burn this files correctly step by step, and how to play them right? Thanks a lot.

Hey mazinraver,

Hmmm, Alcohol 120% should be able to burn .mdf / .mds files...

Apparently MagicISO should also do the job, see http://www.yasasoft.com/press_release/burn_mdf_file.htm

Final suggestion, if that doesn't work you could try doing the following:

... Mount the files using Daemon Tools (hopefully it mounts without error otherwise I'd say your image is corrupt).
... Use any burning software to copy from the "virtual drive" to a CD-R.

When you have a broken image grab this one: It's a perfect working bin & cue, burn it with nero. Press on "HTTP" for the download.

So now you just have to run the image from your hard drive or a CD.
That sounds really odd. I have run DraculaX (three different rips, to be exact) with MagicEngine for ages with really old verisons of DaemonTools (and even older versions of MagicEngine) and it have worked perfectly. At times I've had problems getting it to run with CD-audio, though that seems to mostly have been depending on what version of Windows I have used and if I have used ASPI or no ASPI.

It is a shame that the conversion is drop dead lousy. The slowdowns are, according to me, extremely annoying, and also they have managed to scale the graphics of the game so that things at times look really odd (just like when running 800*600 on a TFT/Plasma screen with no blur, the pixel aspect ratio simply becomes a bit messed up). Though, even though somewhat flawed, it is of course still a very good game... but I prefer the PS version any day (even though it lacks the bonuses that the Saturn version has to offer).

Use the latest WinUAE. Project32 was a tweaked/modified WinUAE, very outdated.
