Amiga Vs PC 2006

I use my pc for lots of things, simply as it much more powerful than an amiga. BUT one of my pastimes is animation. Think southpark etc. The only way i have found is to use WINUAE and a program called AnimatED my marco vegelius. You create an animation in deluxe paint (cant find a better PC equivalent!) and transfer it to AnimatED and add sound, music, timing of individual frames etc and i STILL cant find a PC alternative to this program! is there one anyone knows for the pc? as im sure the pc could do SO much more or is the amiga simply better?

Try out Project Dogwaffle! Animation package (not so) loosely based on DPaint.

Flash is vector graphics based, so if you need pixel based, try Macromedia Director. You'd still need a pixel based program like PD to draw the animation frames in though.

It's pretty easy to use Director to add sound effects, right-click on a slot in the "Cast", choose Import. Drag the Cast member to the correct frame position in the Score, click the Play button. Has a silly limit of two sound channels in the Score but maybe you can configure more.

@mrbob2:

If your amiga software does what U NEED, then continue using the amiga/winuae!
The amiga (or rather WinUAE) can still do A LOT in 2006, despite pseudo-amigans skepticism!

yep its true! emulatin an amiga on winuae enables me to KICK ASS! when it comes to animation. I can have a A1200 with 8mb chip 64 fast, jit settings at 8mb so it flieeeeees. faster than my real A1200 `060 with 32mb ram lol. I just think its funny how my mighty pc is useless in comparison!
