jst file reading problem

from last jst version doc :

From v4.7, due to many factors, I decided to release JST for free, with full
source code. Here are the main reasons:
Some undiscovered bugs still show up (lockup while loading files...)

............

Q: When I run a game from the CD, or from HD, sometimes JST locks while
loading the files (it's not a game with diskfiles, but with real files)
The computer does not crash, but sometimes the WB freezes too (no refresh)
and the partition where the game is is not available till I reset.@{FG HIGHLIGHT}
A: I'm aware of the problem, and I noticed it since I upgraded to Kick 3.1,
but I don't know if there's a connection. Even JST 1.3 sometimes locks,
so it's not an "improvement" I added recently! I completely rewrote the
directory scanning/file loading system to try to eradicate the problem,
and it still occurs from time to time. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.@{FG TEXT}

has anyone succeded in finding a way to fix it ?

thx in advance

I use JST also as a general purpose degrader. I've never had the trouble you mention (can you give specifics and I can test on my systems?). Only thing I was hoping that JOTD would add was a PAL switch as I have NTSC systems.

for the ones interested i found a way to patch this...once again it's a very strange bug and i had no problem with my hd but since i switched to a cf ide adapter most of the jst games were not working anymore. i'm a non techy guy but i think jotd was right in its guide, it may be a os bug. to avoid it i used systempatch exec patch and now it works fine 100 times out of 100!! you can download this great tool there : http://web.tiscali.it/ziosante/ (it's also a very efficient chunky to planar patch similar to blazewcp)..if jotd is still interested to patch this last remaining bug within his great tool, the source of a previous version is available on the website

it's just the third time you answer this to me!!
lots of people love and still use JST!! ... because it was created before whdload (not sure about this one), had much more installs at the beginning and was never giving any troubles on standards unexpanded 1200s...and you can avoid the whdload launch message (still present even when registered)....and most of all it's fucking french dfrsilver !! stop shorting yourself!!
