That system was destined for a collector that will bag it and put it on a shelf never to see the light of day until he dies. It was not very yellowed, very clean, had the correct mouse, and the box looked very clean. I still think it went for too much money, but collectors will pay 10x the value of a common variety for the closest they can get to new never used.

These prices are simply insane! Here in Poland you can get an Amiga for next to nothing.
Just check out this adress:
http://www.allegro.pl/56_komputery_inne_amiga.html

Just an example:
http://www.allegro.pl/item132662322_...0_dodatki.html

a stock a1200 with external drive, one day to go, Prize:97zl -> 25Eur

Some of these people would gladly ship outside of Poland if the money's right.

But the prices are not THAT good...

The A4000 EC030 on there is 211 & 26 for unaccelerated A1200.

Those are regular Ebay prices.

I you reffering to that A4000 on top it had(it's gone now) an PicassoIV(or at least one oh the graphics card from Village Tronic) on board, some kind of SCSI controller and some other board I wasn't able to identify. The guy who was selling that setup had no idea what was inside.

The prices have been going up somewhat recently but on the whole I think you can get plenty of great bargains if you follow the auctions regularly.

When I said next to nothing I was comparing the prices to the ones that've appeared in this thread (I should've stated that in the previous post).

Prices are a bit frightening, Dug out my miggies, decided to upgrade the A2000 roms, then maybe treat it to a graphics card - 4mb card went for 98, bought a new LCD TV instead, and i'll learn to live it.
Cost me over 40 for an 030 accel for the A1200, wish i'd never swapped the old one now
