Is it the same where you live?

I'm also looking for Amiga joysticks. Does anybody sell them new? (not including eBay - I hate eBay).

I want to find something like the new "Competition Pro", but for real Amiga (as in non-USB). Do any of the surviving Amiga dealers still sell Amiga joysticks (that aren't cheapo "flight stick" types)?

Just found the following links, which may be of interest :

http://www.amigastuff.co.uk/parts.asp?s=mj&sub=F2

http://www.oldsoftware.com/Commodore.html#anchor31571
(The 3rd one looks like a replica of the Konix "Navigator" joystick)

Kind regards,
sh

Thanks snarkhunter.

The first link looks good. (the second has mainly "flight type" joysticks that I don't like)

I was thinking of the Competition Pro 5000 Mini (Zipstick Superpro is sold out), but it doesn't say if it is for a real Amiga. I always thought Competition Pro joysticks were USB-only. Does anybody know if this is for real Amiga? (I suppose I could email them, but asking here would probably be faster )

Thanks amigakit ...but two of those are "flight/grip-type", one is joypad and the other is the awful Quickshot (the worst joystick I ever owned).

I want something similar to the Competition Pro (arcade style) - but for real Amiga. If you ever get something like that, let me know and I'll order it.

@Amigakit all those joysticks are AWFULL i wouldnt have one in the same TOWN as my Amiga! contact speedlink and get them to make the comp pro original with the atari standard lead on the end instead of the current usb version. I am sure they would sell loads via your site if not more than usb pc version as the only people buying those are from Amiga time anyway!

If I get it right on the Big Bash video today then Individual Computers will produce new Competitions Pros with a DB9 plug.

Yeah, I only found the Maverick quickshot to be good. But I agree that the competition pros are the best, with the zipstick on a close second.

As of now, I'm about to win a bid on a Comp Pro Mini, still in its original box, on a norwegian auction site.

About flippin time. With the amount of C64 , VCS , Amiga etc users all in dire of need of new joysticks , you'd think this would have happened much sooner. This is much welcome news and i can't wait.

Zipsticks were always better in my opinion and the revised usb joystick has that clicky Zipstick feel if i'm not mistaken.

Just seen a picture of a Zipstick and it's not the Zipstick i remember.I thought that a Zipstick was the same design as a competition while being clicky and with two yellow buttons.Anyway that was the best joystick by far - Proffesional plus was it's name i think , and there's me thinking it always had the two names.
