CD32 Problem

Hi, sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.

I recently moved house and have been able to get my CD32 out again after more then 10 years of being boxed away in the cupboard.

All the games still play except Gloom and Liberation, i think this is because the cds are dirty (maybe).

Anyway, what i want to know is this. what should i use to clean the cds? also, the left trigger is not working on the joy pad, is that easy to open up and fix?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Coarse sandpaper normally works.

Joking all apart. You can buy all sorts of stuff these days that supposedly clean cd's. I've never bothered, instead just using soft, lint-free cloth or smooth, unscented toilet paper with some sort of CD cleaning liquid or even lighter fuel. Always apply the fluid direct to the cloth / tissue and wipe the cd from the centre outwards and NOT in a circular direction. Once you've done this, get another clean cloth / tissue and wipe again from centre outwards. Remember not to use the tissue after to wipe ya arse and then fart after..... BOOM!

you can read your amiga cd's on pc as well. There're commercial software to salvage files on problematic discs. I had varying degrees of success with those. With some cleaning you can salvage almost any disc, unless there is a deep cut on the surface. Then you reburn the CD on the PC and off you go.
