I think Cannon Fodder would be much better suited to the DS and its touch screen! Just makes more sense

why? it looks great, it is still a 2D game but with 3D sprites... I really like it! (judging from the screenshots though, it's gameplay might be crap!)

It looks crap.

I prefer the original pixelled gfx.. more fitting for the game imo!

If they capture the humour and gameplay it might be ok!

it looks like it might be a better effort than Sensible Soccer 2006 - but i cant see why it needs to be called Cannon Fodder at all, apart from a quick cash-in from sales to a few retro-gamers.

i'm not the greatest of Codemasters fans, and quite frankly, i wish they'd give Jon Hare his soul back.

Noooooooo! Not 3D!

Bad enough with 3D Lemmings. I just couldn't get into it and no way was it as additctive as its 2D versions. Then theres Simon the Sorcerer 3D....

I played all the Cannon Fodders to death. Avanze quote is spot on.... guess we'll have to see if it retains the original gameplay and humour.

Cannon Fodder? Runan' Sodem - quick cash-in more like!?

Im not against 3d remakes just because theyre 3d, but that doesnt really look anything like Cannon Fodder imo.

It might as well be called something else.

A shame.

Actually, so long as the viewpoint stays like that, then I think the 3D will be an improvement and actually add something.... unlike say Lemmings 3D!

I agree, Cannon Fodder is a game that would suit 3D greatly, whereas making Lemmings 3D had nothing to do with improving the game, and everything to do with making it 3D for the sake of it.

there are many games that could benefit from a 3d perspective, even isometric...

then there are games that work becasue they are fixed 2d.

I am not saying the game on the psp doesn`t look bad... because i have seen worse 3d graphics... however... although it may use a simular gaming interface i cannot see the game i loved to play... i doubt i ever will unless its on original hardware or emulated.

i will end this with the best quote i read on this thread

@stainy
ffs!

i hear ya...

Codemasters bought Sensible Software and all their titles now belong to Codemasters.

Sporting a brand new - if unmistakably Cannon Fodder - visual style
From those screenshots, it looks like the most unbelievably bland piece of trash imaginable. Give me the 2D original graphics any day if this is the best they can come up with!
