is the most stable host in up- and downloading stuff. Only guys with a router or a missing premium account are whining.

Yes I have

doesn't work with my ISP. There's no way I'm going to pay for a Premium account just to get a few files, what a joke...

I still say FileFactory is best because of what I've said above i.e. no waiting, no popups and it seems to be the fastest for uploading / downloading

But that's not 's fault. Your provider sucks, laughable.

I have a doubt that FileFactory is the fastest, 's upload speed is probably faster. And the download speed reaches over 500K. Yes, they've made some changes to force the user to purchase a premium account. But i never got problems in up- and downloading stuff with the full speed of my connection.

But enough talked about webhoster, this is the Gods thread.

On the web in I get anything from 5kb/s to 200
(which usually only lasts a few seconds!)-
seemed to stay at the fairly low hundred mark, although
probably just luck Downloading in general on my
connection is probably around 20kbps I thought that
was good! uploading probably the same

I'm not sure which wouldve been the best graphically.. was the ST better for audio and the amiga for graphics, or the other way around? I cant remember, I guess it all depended on what model you had anyway, haha... so pointless comparing in that sense

I had the Megadrive version first and loved it. I also have the Amiga version on disk somewhere, but didn't like it as much as you can only use the joystick or keyboard. Joypad is perfect for most games.
The Megadrive version had slightly remixed music and a slightly better intro.
Other than that they were graphically the same as far as I can tell.

Megadrive and snes both run to fast to be playable. Unless you've played the game before and memorized the patterns it's pretty boring. Amiga version could have used a minor speed up, wonder if the NTSC version is better.

Graphics on the snes sucks as well imo, there's no sensible colour balance, all bitmap games look like they've been ported by colourblind monkeys. Animations haven't been timed to the new speed and just look silly.

Ingame music was a nice edition otoh, I miss that from the amiga/PC.

25Hz, exactly! Unlike Team 17, the Bros did not have the smooth scrolling technology.

The best console version is actually the MegaDrive. The graphics are less pink. And I now think that the dual playfield is confusing. The console port must have required it: "Rule #251: every platformer shall have a dual playfield scrolling"

But the speed kills the game you're right. For example, invincibility lasts the same amount of time, but as the hero walks 2 or 3 times faster, you can kill everything on your way in the meanwhile, which is not what is intended at first.
There's a Tool Assisted Recording of the MegaDrive:http://jotd.free.fr/echange/gods-tasv3-aqfaq.avi where this "feature" is abused of (very impressive anyway if you don't know it).

That's a shame. Gods & Co could have been much better, with a decent scrolling. Even on a real Amiga it is not really enjoyable, if i compare it with Lionheart or Turrican.
