I believe the Amiga had support for 3 buttons. If you put some effort into it, you could find two-button joysticks. Only everyone bought one-button joysticks, so the game coders never(?) made the games for two buttons.

Some games had two buttons, like Mortal Kombat and several CD32 games released on disk.

There are other games like Apidya or Banshee which supports a second button.
