All Done By : YOU THINK IM GOIN TO ADMIT IT???

Well here we go!. A fix for a game that will go down in Amiga
history. We can marvel at the awsome loader organisation. Swoon at the
programmers ability to do classy 3D (well, except he cant do centre -
circles but that is advanced stuff!!). Watch the jaw-dropping 2 colour
copper-bars that put the game at the top of every 3D-lovers games list.
Admire the pixelated-perfection of the gfx, all rendered on a workstation
in 2 colours. Coders will be able to hunt through the code and learn many
techniques well ahead of our times. Such as memory routines like:-

Move.l #$xxxxxxxx,($c00008)
Cmp.l #$xxxxxxxx,($c00008)
Bne (opps i havent got fast ram: HAHAHAHA)

In case you hadnt wondered, this game isnt worth the price of
those 3 Bulk-guaranteed-Cheap-Disks you put the crap onto. Do yourself
a favour and trash it quick!! The Amiga could well do without the "support"
of companies that release such trash! This has to be one of the WORST
games I have ever seen. The only other one that springs to mind (just off
the top of my head) is TIP-OFF. A really cool basketball game that was so
bugged and crap it was withdrawn 3 days after release.. And that game was
written by ... can you guess?? Yep, thats right .. spooky huh!
....and the memory problem was aware to "HF".

Jurassic PARK ECS and AGA are to this very day not cracked correctly.

The amiga coder has said it on flashtro, the crack is not working correctly due to many checksums or copylock unpatched.

Mr.Larmer removed all checksums for WHDload versions, perhaps similar changes can be added to disk versions, also PDX ECS version is damaged ,(corrupted files) , if I remember right.

But emphatically not fucked up by me though eh?

Sleepwalker 'crack' was a joke, I think it was Bob Duncan/FLT that broke the cardinal rule of not storing the serial key even though in the code you could clearly see it being stored for later.

Hook was a special one off case as far as Copylock goes, the programmer requested Rob Northen do something out of the ordinary, and because the common way of cracking Copylock was to decrypt it and force the serial key and bypass the disk check, this is why it didn't work because the programmer requested extra code in the disk check part which was obviously skipped.

And yes, I was the one that cracked it 100% as well, but no I did not release it first time around.

You irked me because you said "Lots of cracks didn't work properly", which clearly is misinformed bollocks frankly. Of the many, many cracks Fairlight released, you've found 3! How does that equate to 'lots'?

SOME cracks didn't work properly, but lots? No!

For me 90% of games with checksums or ingame checks, don't works correctly (especially first versions, most of cracks was fixed later), f.e.:
Project X, Elf, First Samurai, Project X SE, Dungeon Master, Evil's Doom, Breathless, King's Quest 6, Soccer Kid ECS, Hired Guns, Jetstrike ECS/AGA, almost all Silmarils games, all Level 9 games etc.
Due I have sclerosis (or something similar), present I don't remember more titles.

I have to agree with Galahad, sure, there were cracks that didn't really work but well, I still say the majority of the cracks worked fine. And as you also say, many were fixed back the in the day once it was found they didn't work properly so they still count as working cracks in my book.

90%? I'm not even going to bother responding to that, just utter garbage.

[Project X SE]

What was wrong with the Ministry version?

Perhaps missing checksum. Don't kill first boss very fast, and you can see crash. Without trainer is almost impossible to kill this boss without crash.

[Silmarils games]

Most of them were cracked by Mok and I don't remember any problems.
Not all Silmarils games are cracked by Mok, f.e. Ishar I AGA, Transarctica AGA. Also Robinson's Requiem is bad cracked, it always crashes in dungeons, original version never crashes in dungeons.
Here is a liitle update:
Amberstar
Ambermoon
Dragons Flight
Deep Core
Amiga Soccer
Ultima VI
Maupiti Island
Borobodur
Feudal Lords (game bug or crack bug)
Apidya SE
Budokan
Burn Time ECS
Railroad Tycoon
Genesia
Turrican
Top Gear 2 AGA/ECS
Biing
Fate Gates Of Dawn
Overlord
Simon The Sorcerer
Silly Putty
Mega Twins
Nicky (Boum) II
Saint Dragon

I know for a fact Top Gear 2 AGA/ECS was cracked 100% because I released the crackfix for the Prestige version 2 hours after it was first uploaded.

Saint Dragon and Mega Twins have both been released 100%, same with Apidya SE.

I cannot comment on the other games, but one thing is for sure... you've got a VERY small list of games there, when the Amiga had THOUSANDS released for it.

That doesn't equate to 'lots' of bad cracks.

Back on topic, the PDY version of Embryo, cracked by "The Best" (*sigh*) won't work correctly since the checksum checks have not been removed... The crack is rather poor anyway (copying crack patch to $290.w which is totally unnecessary).

Top Gear 2 game uses different loaders for disk and HD, and I don't found version which works OK from disks and from HD.

Saint Dragon and Mega Twins have both been released 100%, same with Apidya SE.

I know only poor Skid Row (demo) crack of Saint Dragon, if you have good crack, please put this game online. Apidya SE was later cracked by WT, but I thinked about GOD crack.

Wonder how I managed to complete quite a lot of cracked games then. Anyway, will try to check some cracks against the WHDLoad versions in the next months (and maybe pursue Horace to make some new trainer WHDLoad slaves... ).

Regardless, of the many thousands of games released, perhaps less than 5% were not cracked properly.

I've also managed to dismiss 4 of the non working cracks from your list, without researching further. Any further lists are doubtless going to need amending in a similar fashion.

This discussion is pretty much over now.

Not all Amiga games has protection. For me most of Amiga games with checksums or ingame checks were not cracked correctly in first time (first version is always the most important for most users). Most of poor cracks is fixed already. I checked Boilerroom collection, some titles has fixes: Ork, Warp, Mega Twins (I have my own fix for this game), but I don't checked these fixes. I don't know how many is "lots" for You: 50, 100, 200, 500 or more, but minimum 50 Amiga titles is not cracked or not cracked correctly. Next titles too: Rocket Ranger, Lords of Rising Sun, Legend of Longbow, Larry 5 etc.

BTW. I don't found cracked version of Saint Dragon, then perhaps You can't remove this game from list. Deep Core was crackfixed later.
