Total Carnage is one of the worst games I've ever played (I reviewed it for APoV so I spent ages playing it, and gave it an incredibly low mark). It's a catalogue of errors - awful collision detection, difficulty level, animation, controls and it's generally inept.

The thing that utterly ruins CM2 is its speed. It's so slow it would make an asthmatic snail blush. And it kept corrupting my save disks.

The worst Amiga game in my opinion is "Lost on Parrot Island".

Hey, Captain Planet is one of my favourite platformers. Surely it doesn't belong in a 'worst amiga game' thread?? Should be reserved for atrocities like this one.

What was that game (tm)

that had an ugly bloke sailing down a dark tunnel in a wooden boat. It was by Delphine - I think.

Edit: I think it was Castle Warrior

I don't think it was actually that bad but the dark dank miserableness of it seriously put me off playing it.

I remember some chart track that boasted oktalyzer usage.. or even 2x thereof.. at least with Amiga..
New Order used ST at the time, as I`m sure a lot of other groups did in preference.

Test Match Cricket would be one... and all the later clone Pinball games that just didn't cut the mustard.

i liked OUtRun on the amiga... i dont really know why.

gotta agree that Rise of the Robots sucked monkey balls... and if Brian May was invoved that's just unforgivable.

my vote goes for Blood Money. nice intro, graphics that show promise, then you move the joystick and find that the game has a mind of its own.... i really cant stand it.

Can I just generally point out that classing a game as the worst you have ever seen should not be because you were crap at it and/or couldnt figure out how to play it.

Please search within your soul and explain... Didn't you play the coin-op at the time? That conversion was a disgrace for the Amiga!

Oh well... it's one of my favourites. A slow-paced shoot'em'up? Yes please!

Another rip-off: Two-On-Two Basketball. Pathetic when compared to the preceding, and quite brilliant One-On-One.

Blood Money is definitely pushing it as a suggestion when games like http://hol.abime.net/2348 (can't bring myself to even type the name) exist in the Amiga's history.

My goodness, that is a truely aweful game.

I agree with Bloodwych concerning the above.. it palyed and looked like a SEUCK game - even inferior to the C64 version.

Personally, I thought Soccer Kid was rubbish - twee graphics, but a poor title with poor gameplay and controls - give me Giddy any day.

Sure there was some terrible software available, but the games that promised so much and delivered so little should be named!

Leave the budget / PD releases alone (as they were free or as good as) and let's name and shame the high profile rubbish that requested 25.00+ of our hard earned money!
(I was a YTS employee you know)

I also thought the Robocop series were terribly bad.

Outrun was ok. Strider was pretty bad, but it's sequel was far worse. I might have boot it just to see if I still have the same feelings today.

hey i'm not saying i prefer amiga Out Run to the coin-op, i just happen to rather enjoy the amiga version as well. They both have sprite-flipping errors you know, its just that the amiga one is more noticable.

with Blood Money it was just that there has been no game that has so thoroughly disapointed me as that did when i played it with a mate recently. we'd both thought we'd remembered it being good, had a game and our jaws hit the ground.... i suppose its a case of a game that i was expecting to be good being (imho) *that* bad, as Magno pointed out mentioning "shaming" what should have been good games.

obviously a lot of people are gonna like it, otherwise no-one would remember it.... but i just cant.
