I'm a sad Pentium 4 user... and also the proud owner of a fully working A600, a not so fully working Spectrum +3, and the old trusty Atari 2600 :-)

Actually, I bought the Amiga 600 a cuople of weeks ago in the MadridSX retrocomputing meeting. My intention was to rescue back the info in my old Amiga diskettes from 15 years ago... wich miraculously aren't corrupted (well, almost all of them ^_^' )
I've been using WinUAE in the PC for the last years, but when I attached the A600 to the big TV through the euroconnector... aaah, the solid crisp nice images, the smell, the sound, the real thing... :-)

I knew it would come to this.

Let me ask my own question: Why is it that everyone who chats on EAB owns an Amiga?

Oh, hard question...... maybe we just love this machine and use it to death
Emulators aren't the real thing, we who grew up with the machine often tend to use the real thing

Even though I want to, the reason I don't own an Amiga is that I haven't got much space in my house. An extension will be built onto my house later on. If this goes ahead, then perhaps I will buy one.

I grew up with the C64, but I just didn't have the nerve to trade it for an Amiga 500. I regret doing this. As a person who joined EAB but hasn't owned not one Amiga yet, I just feel left out.

sadly, I had to bury my miggy... I would want to get another one, but like Black Wolf I just don't have the space for it :s

So my AthlonXP (yes, need to upgrade...) and WinUAE have to fill the void

I have a few PC's which I use for internet, word processing, and multiplayer online gaming. I also have a modified Xbox w/160gb hard drive for single player games, MP3 jukebox, and DVD player.

I have a pretty stock A500 for nostalgia and retro gaming. I also have an A2000 w/030, 8mb 32bit memory, 4gb hard drive, cd-rom, and A2320 card.

How about getting about 4 AmigaOne and clustering?

Never had a 'real amiga'.

Got several x86 boxes, & RiscPC.

Use AmigaOS ( 3.9 + Amithlon ) more than all the other OS's installed put together.

Odd.

Both. I have 2 Amigas (A1200+8MB+4GB HD and CD32+SX1... I suppose it counts as a computer), and 2 PCs (an Athlon XP 1800+ and a Celeron 500 laptop I got for free).

I use the Amigas mostly for gaming, nothing beats the feeling of playing Turrican 2 on a real Amiga connected to a 21" TV through a SCART-RGB cable. It's just "not the same".

Purer AMIGA until 2003. Than also a PC.
If OS4 and the software support gets better. I would change without a doubt.
Especially EMUS bittorrent and usenet clients must be available.
Thatz what I need my peecee for.
