PAL full screen

I'm wondering why it's not possible to use PAL full screen resolutions in Winfellow.
I'm currently using 640x400 resolution with pixel doubling but some (or all?) PAL games which are 320x256 are cut off at the bottom part and 640x480 won't do tha job as well. Why can't I choose 320x256 or 640x512 resolution in full screen mode?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for but it might be: http://freespace.virgin.net/machine....ip/winuae.html

Hi Sittingduck,

By default you cannot select Amiga resolutions through the WinFellow GUI, since DirectX does not supply the resolutions. At startup, WinFellow asks DirectX which resolutions are available. The link given by Nisei is worth looking at! I having tried it yet, but it looks interesting.

Greetings,

If the way that WinFellow goes about providing the list of allowed resolutions is similar to the way that WinUAE does it, then that should provide an answer. I've used Powerstrip for a long time to create custom screen resolutions that I use in WinUAE, and the method works well for me. I've never tried using them in WinFellow though.

I tried Powerstrip in combination and it works like a gem!

I added the 640x512 resolution at 100 Hz (I have a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro in combination with a Iiyama 19" monitor). First it did not work, the default monitor (microsoft) selected by WinXP blocked the resolution change. After changing the monitor type to Super VGA 1600x1200, it did change to 640x512@100Hz. Hurray!

Thanks for this tip Sittingduck

Yup, I use Powerstrip also. It's a must for all PC users who use Amiga emulators

Excellent program

No, only for ATI users. The nvidia driver has an option to build custom resolutions.
