Disks labeled with X001, X002, X003, ... - Which format??

I have bought a bundle of approx. 30 used Amiga disks from a person who "did not know how to use them", and the disks are all labeled with "X001", "X002", "X003", ... - They are not bootable, and the directories can not be listed; using a Hex-Viewer, I noticed that the disks seem to be nearly full (they do not have standard Amiga-format, but contain Amiga datas). I guess someone has generated something like a big image of his HDD - Which program might have been used to create it? And more important: How can I decode the disks...?

Thank you for any useful hint!!

Send a message via ICQ to Adderly
Only a guess, but you can try Diavolo Backup or Quarterback to restore the disk...
Hopefully the owner has forgotten to protect the backup with a password
