Scandoubler/Flicker Fixer Available Now!

After a long much-awaited delay, we are pleased to announce the immediate availability of Amiga external Scandoublers/Flickerfixers

The device allows any Classic Amiga to connect to and use a standard PC (SVGA) Monitor.

Screenmodes are either frequency doubled or simply passed through to the monitor. What is more, NTSC and PAL Interlace modes are stabilised - so no more annoying flicker!

Direct Product Link:

Also the Commodore Book: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore is back in stock.

Looks like it's the same model that Eyetech used to sell as the "EZ-VGA". Big thumbs up from me if I'm right, I've had no problems with mine at all.

I was looking into this as I have one of these ff/sd's on order. The flat panels from Viewsonic seem to be a good bet. Checked on their website and they are quoted in the specs as going down to 50hz.

Anyone had any experience of these?

I assume you know that being outside the EU that you get a 17.5% discount because you do not have to pay VAT?

AU$210 less 17.5% at about $37.

$173 (Plus P&P) is still quite a cost.

Just send me the schematics and I'll build it for less.

You'd also need the code. It has a programmable logic device.

Can someone tell me why this is SOOOOOOOOOOoooo much better than all those X2VGA type adaptors sold for consoles etc at half the price??? Or is it just "The Amiga Market" again?
