Identifying Pin1 on new HDD
Hi
I have a 2.5" drive here just waiting to be installed but im a bit paranoid about plugging the cable in the wrong way round! Pin1 is clearly written on my sx1 module mb but the hdd has no numbers on the back. Am i right to assume pin1 is on the left when the drive is looked at the right way up from behind? ...................... .. ...................... .. 1--------------44 Is that right? |

What is the name and type of your hard disk?
If you tried searching the internet to find out more about your drive. I would never assume anything. Here some links for HD manufactures. Hitachi DK series 2.5'' HD Maxtor Quantum Fujitsu Seagate Hope it will helps. ![]() |
