A petition to convince the SWOS slave author to try and remove the 2MB chipmem requirement should also be started so SWOS can be enjoyed loaded from the harddrive on older Amigas too, which most often only has 1MB chipmem.

Shouldnt be impossible as the original game only requires 512kB chipmem and 512kB other.

Well that is another matter which has been discussed quite a lot but Galahad has vanished but i do think his SWOS slave could do with an update which makes SWOS work on 2mb chip.

After actually looking around a bit, there atleast exists a solution for the 1MB chipmem + some MB othermem users. They can use the good old SWOS HD Installer which supports up to the 96/97 version of SWOS - see the readme.

The only thing to complain about is that it doesnt seem to work with a softkicked kickstart (using SKick - no mmu or fancy maprom hardware), but otherwise it runs just fine on my 1MB chipmem + 4MB fastmem A500+.

For the 2MB chipmem only case, you should try the JST SWOS installer which claims to work on a 2MB chipmem only A1200 - see the readme. It supports up to the 97 update disk SWOS version which also isnt the very latest, but if it works, it will be so much better than no SWOS at all .

Me Rochabian and others have tried this before and it doesn't work on 2MB Chip Ram. It probably means 2MB Fast Ram.
But when i read this "Successfully tested on A1200/020/NoFast and A1200/060/16MB/50MHz." I find it hard to believe considering what we have tested.
Maybe JOTD will reply to this thread one day

I seem to remember there was an early version of Sensi in Amiga Format around June/July '92. Can't find exactly when now as I site that I used to frequent on abime is now password protected

Good call mcbpete It is another Sensible Practise though nothing to fancy. dark green pitch like the german edition but different teams not sure what the teams they are as it doesn't say.
I'm still trying to find more SWOS demos as they had more variety and german demos in particular.

Good news I hope that the 2mb version will be also playable on 2mb chip ram even if it does have OS Flashing inbetween menus.

Speaking of pinball games, if Galahad is still reading this, a patch on his Pinball Dreams slave would be nice for a CD32 pad so one can select the tables like the sequels.
