2 Questions!

Well, hi everyone nice to see that a lot of people r still in love with the Amiga!! i had an Amiga 500 but i gave it to one of my friends a few years ago, toady i got myself a used but boxed(and working) Amiga 600! looks smaller but never saw it in real life(needs a week for paying+shipping process) .. anyway i have some Questions and am not sure if this is the right section or not...

1-Is their a way to use the new 1.44mb disks on the amiga? or do i have to order the smaller sized ones online?

2-how can i copy the games (Adf's ? i think) to blank disks so i can play them on my amiga 600 and where can i find them for free online?

Ps: am using an iMac G5 right now but i also have a 2yr old P4 pc running XP.

thnx everyone!

Heys SWOS, welcome back home Amigan!

okies lets see

1. yes there is, infact many but the better it to get an external one as a lot of old
games that bang the metal of the orginal disk drive has issues with a lot of the
1.44 mechanisms.

1.a I recomend a a small hard drive (a 2.5") from a laptop of upto 4GB in size this will
house lots of games that through the use of WHD can now be installed to a hard
disk and no longer be disk based.

2 Upgrade the kickroms.. this will improve a lot of compatability though the use
of workbench 3.1 and 3.5 instead of 2.0

2a Networking, *yes* once you have OS3.1 or 3.5 *EVEN WIRELESS* obvously you need *a. a network* and *b. a wireless actionpoint.

okay so you can store adf / whd games on you internal hard disk or on a PC that you network too.. choice is yours on that one.

okay so where can you get them from.. well there is the whole TOSEC library for a start, and then there are WHD compilations as well.. read the FAQ's on this forum they are indeed AWSOME!!!!!!!
