Understand... speedruns only no longplays.

I'll ask fedegaia. I think his site is more suitable...

Yep, his site is more suitable. But isn't it just adventure games on his site?

i just want to inform you all that the site now accepts Longsplays aswell.
So recording movies should now be much easier for those who are too lazy to do a speedrun.

And one of the first games is Guldkorn expressen

Here is a direct quote from the latest news from our site posted by Ironclaw

Quote:
This site will now contain longplay movies aswell. So if you are one of those who don't like or want to record speedruns, you can now record longplays instead.

The same rules for speedrun movies also applies for longplay movies, which means no cheating etc.. (read F.A.Q if you don't know) with one exception, longplay movies must be "Full" recordings which means from the first stage to the last one.

The difference between a speedrun movie and a longplay movie is that speedrun movies are played as fast as possible trying to complete a game (Full) or just a level (Partial), while a longplay movie is to complete a game without thinking of the speed, it can take as long as the player wants, but he/she has to complete the game or it won't be accepted.

So start recording and send us the materials and we will do as always, which is cutting and adding our brand etc...

Hello, If you use edonkey or Emule, make a search on "jim power level" and "jim power end sequence"

you'll find the levels i have recorded and fully completed. + the end sequence.

i have splitted the levels in many *.RAR files.

good download ^^

Tried to download but 5kb/sec???, now way. You have to upload the files to us. And what's up with the huge file sizes?, 300mb files?

And if we decide to put your recording on our site, will it be speedrun och longplay related?

And, could only find .avi files, no rar files..

i have splitted each levels in RAR files to make it let bigger ^^.

I have a low ID hence the problem -> 5kb/sec i have to clear this out.

each levels are splitted, it's more a speedrun/longplay. the full recording is 30 minutes long. it's partial recording.

The low ID issue is usually caused by not forwarding the relevant UDP and TCP ports for eDonkey in your router's control panel. Have you done that?

dlfrsilver; i have tried to download the files for over 48Hours now and the download won't start.

I have a "high id" in emule so thats not the problem. I can download other files, but got only a few kb's/sec.

So, please try to compress the avi's little more and upload to us directly.

i've downloaded 5 of the games on your site yesterday, prompted by the last 44 games added post of some day ago.
i would like to say that your initiative is very good: i've finally seen how Waxworks ends, and past the second screen of The Immortal.

also, not to pick fleas, not all the longplays are as good as they could be, for instance, while some of the avi producers do edit their movies, adding for instance interesting outtakes (It came from the Desert) not all of them do, so Waxworks could have been improved by a couple of minutes more with all the gruesome game-overs, or even it could have featured more than just the strictly needed gameplay (more descriptions dysplayed etc.)

another game i've seen, Loom, has prolly been played at the easy setting, so a sequence famed to be only in hard, is not there.

overall a very good effort though and a cool site

Yeah, we "game recorders" has our own unique way to do it. If a game shows something new if a higher difficulty is selected, I'll play on that difficulty. If a game has lots of cool deaths and animations not seen in the movie, I add them at the end of the movie. I also crop all my movies, removing all the blackness around it (if possible).. so it fills up the screen as good as it gets.... etc etc..

Some people don't . I havn't watched Loom, but that game, like every adventure game with difficult settings, should be played on hardest.

i may be wrong on Loom account, but as from this thread:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=15288
the cutscene should be there in hard settings game, while in the longplay there is not.
i am not sure as either i've skipped the point where the player selected the difficulty level, or he has choosen easy or even the cutscene story is a fake.

that about Loom, but for the rest, don't take me bad, the site IS a great resource and i would like to thank you and the other longplay producers for that.
